Dr. Rasa Vasinauskaitė is a theatre scholar. She graduated from Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography. She worked at the cultural weekly magazine 7 meno dienos as an editor in the theatre department. She has worked in the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute for almost two decades and teaches at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She researches theatre history, theory and criticism, contemporary research methods of theatre and culture. Vasinauskaitė is an editor of cultural publications and has co-authored collective monographs on development of the Lithuanian theatre. In 2010 she published the monograph Theatre of impermanence.
