Dr. Daiva Šabasevičienė is a theatre scholar. She graduated Theatre History and Theory from St. Petersburg State Institute of Performing Arts. Since 1994 she has been the head of the Literary Section in the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. Moreover, she has worked in the State Small Theatre of Vilnius, the State Youth Theatre and has taught at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. She wrote monographs on director Jonas Vaitkus, actors Regimantas Adomaitis, Juozas Budraitis and published over five hundred reviews on drama theatre plays, exhibitions, interviews with theatre artists, directors, painters, and composers.
