Edgaras Klivis is a theatre historian. In his research he focuses on the development of Soviet/Post-Soviet theatre in the Baltic states and the forms of contemporary political theatre. He teaches theatre history and theory at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, where he also serves as the head of the Theatre Studies Department in the Faculty of Arts. Edgaras Klivis is the artistic director of National Kaunas Drama Theatre since 2020.
