Ramunė Marcinkevičiūtė

Dr. Ramunė Marcinkevičiūtė is a theatre critic and historian, professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She explores processes of 20th century contemporary European and Lithuanian theatre and the phenomenon of directing. She is the Vice-Rector for Art at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She is a co-founder of the Theatre and Cinema Information and Education Centre in Lithuania and a member of various art and culture councils. She has published monographs Eimuntas Nekrošius: Space Beyond Words  („Eimuntas Nekrošius: erdvė už žodžių“) (2002), Realism of Experiences. Creative Biography Study of Dalia Tamulevičiūtė („Patirčių realizmas. Dalios Tamulevičiūtės kūrybinės biografijos studija“) (2011). She is a co-author of Contemporary Lithuanian Theatre. Names and Performances (2019). Her articles on various theatre issues have appeared in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Italy, United Kingdom, Norway.
