Rūta Oginskaitė is a theater and film critic with an interest in documentaries. For four decades she worked as an editor and author of cultural publications in editorial offices (the weekly Literatūra ir menas, cultural supplement Mūzų malūnas of the daily Lietuvos rytas, performing arts website menufaktura.lt). She has written seven books – biographies of Vytautas Kernagis, Vladas Bagdonas, Arūnas Žebriūnas and of other famous Lithuanian theater and film creators. Currently she is a language editor on the website dance.lt and freelance author.
