Valda Kalpokaitė is a theatre critic, specialist of human resources, and editor. In 2001 she received a master's degree in Theatre Studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She has worked in BNS, in the daily Respublika, the magazine Klubas. She was a marketing manager at Menų spaustuvė, the head of Public Relations department at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She has published reviews of Lithuanian and foreign theatres, reviews of festivals, and analytical articles in Literatūra ir menas, 7 meno dienos, Kultūros barai, Lietuvos scena, and through the portal Menų faktūra, etc. Kalpokaitė applies her expert knowledge and experience at Lithuanian and foreign competitions, moderating discussions and meetings with creators of culture and art. At present she works at the Lithuanian Culture Institute and edits Teatro žurnalas.
