About us

Where it all started

The Association of Performing Arts Critics, established on April 2, 2017, was created out of a desire to unite critics, historians, and theorists of performing arts such as drama and musical theater, dance, circus, etc. and to share experience at common meetings and conferences, to popularize Lithuanian theater at foreign festivals, and to disseminate knowledge to the society about the peculiarities and changes of the performing arts in other countries.

The Lithuanian Ministry of Culture granted the Association of Performing Arts Creators the status of an organization of art creators.

The Association of Performing Arts Creators belongs to the International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC), which unites about 70 countries around the world.
